Our hospital is a community-based institution that has a completely electronic medical records system accessible at any computer within the hospital and also via hand-held devices such as tablet computers and smartphones. Our interview period will start in October 2013. International medical graduates (IMGs) will need an ECFMG certificate, US citizenship, permanent residency (green card), a J-1 visa, or an H-1 visa to apply. We require three letters of recommendation submitted via ERAS as well as USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 results. We participate in ERAS (Electronic Residency Application System) and all applications must be submitted via ERAS paper applications will not be considered. We do not offer preliminary residency positions. Our program will offer 27 residency positions for the academic year starting.

It is not pyramidal anyone who enters our program is assured of a full three years training. Our Internal Medicine residency training program is certified by the ACGME and is 3 years long. Lastly and most importantly, all our residents report back to us after starting work that they have been very well prepared for the practice of medicine and that their training was superior to that of other physicians with whom they have worked. During their training, despite being extremely busy, many residents do clinical research and write abstracts that are published and/or presented as posters and papers at local and national meetings.
Every resident who starts our program and stays for three years becomes Board eligible and all get jobs easily. This test is taken by almost every Medical resident in the nation and is marked by PGY level so that residents and programs can judge how well they stack up against every other internal medicine training program. Our residents' marks on the National In-Training Exam are consistently above the national average and increase by PGY level. Our running three-year American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Board pass rate is 95%, among the highest in the nation. The median USMLE Step 2 CK score of our entering class of 28 is 231 and is clearly competitive with any other program. The Interfaith Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Training Program continues to attract superior candidates from all over the world.
